This addendum explains how the KickHeroes and KickHeroes Referee apps function. It is intended to give transparency into app behavior and help users understand how their interaction contributes to the experience.

KickHeroes is a football-focused platform that allows users to:

  • Create and join teams

  • Compete in matches

  • Track team and player performance

  • Access a free lineup creator for teams

  • View live rankings on leaderboards

We also offer a companion app, KickHeroes Referee, which enables referees to manage live match data.

🔍 Features & Functionality

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Team Management

  • Players create or join teams, which are ranked on the leaderboard.

  • A free lineup creator tool is provided to help captains manage and plan their team formation before a match.

👤 Individual Player Ranking

  • Players are ranked based on Goals (G), Defense (D), and Attack (A).

  • These attributes are sorted by priority and used to calculate individual and team performance.

🧠 Point System Logic

  • Teams and players gain points based on match outcomes.

  • Winning teams receive a calculated increase in attribute points:

    • Based on intersection of team and player attributes

    • Distributes attribute point increases fairly among all participants

  • Player ranks are determined by sorting on G > D > A, and alphabetically if tied.

🏅 Leaderboard Rankings

  • Leaderboards are updated automatically.

  • Teams and individuals are ranked separately to encourage both teamwork and personal performance.

🧑‍⚖️ KickHeroes Referee App

  • Used exclusively on verified grounds.

  • Allows referees to:

    • Create matchups

    • Input and update scores

    • Manage team selection and results in real-time

🔒 Data Handling Transparency

  • We do not collect sensitive personal information such as biometric or health data.

  • We only collect match-related data (performance metrics, team names, scores) which is used to:

    • Generate rankings

    • Power the leaderboard

    • Enhance the lineup planning experience

  • All data is processed to support fair play and is stored securely.
